Hi All,
Once again we are looking forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school on Monday following the return to Covid Alert Level 2. Our health and safety plan is in place as it has been under every alert level, and you can be assured we’ll continue doing everything we can to keep children safe.
Please continue with good hand hygiene and with cough and sneeze etiquette at home, appropriate physical distancing when out and about and keeping your child home if they are sick.
Face coverings are required on public transport at Alert Level 2 and above. This does not apply to any child who is under 12 years of age and does not apply to school transport, however we do encourage those that use public buses to wear a mask.
Children and young people also do NOT have to wear face coverings at school due to the existing health control measures in place, including children and staff staying home if they are sick, contact tracing, and hygiene requirements. However if your child wants to wear a face covering or if you want them to, that is fine.
We are continuing contact tracing by having QR code posters at our entrances, so please check in if you need to come onsite. If you haven’t already downloaded the NZ COVID Tracer app you can find instructions here:
We will also keep a visitor register for anyone who doesn’t have the App through the normal visitor sign-in process. This will help us with contact tracing in the unlikely case it is needed.
For more information about public health measures at Alert Level 2 you can visit Covid19.govt.nz, and if you have any questions please get in touch with us.
