Creating More Positive Environments
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) helps address undesirable behaviours and improve children’s well-being which as a result increases educational achievement. By strengthening relationships and creating more positive environments, we remove barriers to engagement and improve students’ chances to achieve at school and beyond.

How We Do PB4L
At Royal Oak Intermediate we currently have our RERE values, the whanau card point system and peer mediators to support PB4L. Over the next 12 months we are looking at implementing student PB4L leaders and using the Zones of Regulation. Zones of Regulation teach students skills toward developing a way to build awareness of their feelings and utilise a variety of tools and strategies for regulation, social skills, self-care, and overall wellness.
