Respect, Excellence, Resilience, Empathy

Royal Oak Intermediate school has a strongly future-focused curriculum. Within the last two years we have become a BYOD school (Bring Your Own Device), encouraging students to bring a Chromebook or similar device to school with them, and working on the Google platform. This enables us to use applications which allow teachers, students and families to communicate, share and comment on work and learn cooperatively.

Principal's Welcome

Nau mai haere mai,

Welcome to Royal Oak Intermediate School’s website. Whether you are here as a current or prospective student, a family member or a visitor we hope you enjoy having a look around our website.

Royal Oak (formerly Manukau) Intermediate was one of the first Intermediate Schools established in Auckland, and we celebrated our 75th birthday in 2018. We are a school that celebrates the successes of our students, fosters creativity and hard work hand-in-hand and benefits from having a widely diverse community. Everything we do at Royal Oak Intermediate is guided by our “RERE” values. These values, drawn from our motto Ka Rere – To Fly, are:

Respect, ExcellenceResilience, Empathy

Our team of committed teachers and support staff are here for the students, please contact the school if you have any queries.
